Anvi

Anvi is a multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary artist from Bangalore, India, whose versatile experience and practice spans across dance, performance, visual arts and writing. As a National award winning dancer, she performs as a Bharathanatyam soloist and has featured in several festivals and events around the world, and continues to train in Classical ballet in pursuit of a an original classical language. An MA Fine Art graduate from Chelsea college of Art and Design (specializing in mixed media painting and installation works) and an author of two books of poetry and experimental prose, she has shown her work across India, China, USA, and UK.
Her interdisciplinary language weaves across these three disciplines, which she further wishes to mesh into the art of film making. Her works shift between being organic and auxiliary. They are poetic and political in equal measure. She has traveled across India, USA, China, UK and Bhutan showcasing her works. As an actress she has appeared in several regional television soaps and telefilms over the years. She currently lives in London, UK on an exceptional talent endorsement by Arts Council England.
